Time: Wednesday 27^thJune 2012, 8pm – 9pm

Location: The Jerwood Space, 171 Union Street, London SE1 0LN.

Panel: Hansjorg Schmidt (Rose Bruford College), Fiona Watt (SBTD), Jamie Vartan (Designer), Kate McGrath (Producer - fuel), Nigel Godfrey (Agent - Blue Box), Suzanna Rosenthal (Producer), Naomi Hodgson (Graduate Designer), Nathan Long (Graduate Lighting Designer).

Entering the profession in the creative industries is a complex and challenging process for young designers leaving training or education. The Young Designers Forum will discuss the challenges and opportunities inherent in this process, and wishes to explore ways and methods of helping to ease this journey, and of making it as safe and rewarding as possible. We will discuss the dreams and aspirations of young people setting out to become designers for live performance, and the expectations and challenges set by their potential employers and collaborators.

The panel consists of representatives from across the theatre industry: Professional Designers, Educators, Producers, Artistic Directors and Graduates will discuss what it means to be a Young Designer.

Followed by drinks in the pub.

Wow, what an evening! The turn out to our opening night was fantastic, each exhibitor put together an amazing display of their work which was well recieved from all visitors. If you didn’t manage to come along last night there is still time to see it all so please come along either on:

Wednesday 27th June - 12pm-9pm

Thursday 28th June - 11am-5pm

The team will be spending the morning finishing off the exhibitions ready for the Private View night...
